A quick message from Megan

Before I begin, I just wanted to start with a quick message. Asking for donations is incredibly hard and is something I avoided doing for the first 5 years of this group. I was encouraged by many to ask since I couldn’t know if people would donate if I didn’t try. I am so thrilled by the reception and people seem happy to help, which I am forever grateful for. I don’t take asking for donations lightly, far from it in fact and I appreciate everyone’s support more than you will ever know.

Where do donations go?

Donations help keep us running each month and allow us to keep expanding so we can send smiles to even more people.

First and foremost, donations go to helping to cover our monthly group expenses. Currently, the group spends an average of $133.27 each month (just under $1,600 yearly) on storage, design subscriptions, website and domain fees, and other recurring expenses. I have done my best to keep this number low while still having enough useful services to keep us going and to give both our senders and recipients the best experience possible. This number does not include postage, supplies, or other expenses involved in sending the mail.

If our monthly group expenses are covered in a given month, whether by direct donations, label and sticker sales, or referral links, we are able to cover some of the costs of sending mail mentioned above.

Donations help us immensely and any chunk taken out of our monthly expenses truly means the world to me.

How can I donate?

Money

Donations are accepted primarily through PayPal, though we do accept Venmo and Cash App.

PayPal

Venmo: @randomactsofcardness

Cash App: $randomactsofcardness

If you would like to donate money in a different way, please message Megan Evans.

Items

If you would like to donate items, we have an Amazon Wishlist with cards, envelopes, stickers, and other supplies that are used to send our mailings.

Our biggest need on Amazon besides A2 envelopes and cardstock is HP Instant Ink prepaid cards. I print for the group almost daily, so anything to cut in to that fee is a massive help!

If you would like to donate cards, postage stamps, stickers, or anything else via postal mail, please send to:

Tip Jar

My number one priority has been and always will be the monthly group expenses. Throughout the years, however, there have been many folks who have asked to buy me a coffee or snack to enjoy while I work. Again, my number one priority is always the group, but I appreciate anyone who wants to send me a dollar or two just to say thank you. I work full time on this group between lists, communicating with members, designing, and general upkeep stuff, so a coffee is always super appreciated!

Other Ways we support ourselves

We receive a small, but helpful amount of money from referral links for things products we share from Amazon, Design Websites, and more! Referral and affiliate links don’t change the price you pay for a product, but we get a small commission that helps with our monthly group expenses.

You will find referral links on this website and occasionally in the group itself if there is a good deal or design freebie.

Honey is a browser extension that saves you money on your every day purchases by finding and applying promo codes without you having to do any extra work. They also have cash back on select sites to help you save even more! We both get a $5 bonus when you sign up and earn your first Honey Gold!

Thank you all for your support for Random Acts of Cardness. We couldn’t make the world brighter without you.
